got a hose end thats 9/16-18 UNF JIC, will this screw right onto it and give me a 1/4 BSPT on the other side?

For a straight adapter that bridges standards, it pairs a male JIC end with 9/16 - 18 UNF threads (3/8 inch JIC) to a male BSPT end with R 1/4 - 19 threads (1/4 inch BSPT), so it is meant for exactly that JIC-to-BSPT transition.
