Product Questions & Answers

Will this nipple work to connect a BSPT fitting to an NPT one? I'm always getting them mixed up.
Question by: Kurt H on Feb 20, 2026, 6:29 PM
That's precisely what this nipple is designed for. It provides a reliable transition between BSPT and NPT thread types, so you can connect components using these different standards without needing extra adapters.

Got a piece of equipment with a 2" female BSPT port and need to tie it into a line that's threaded NPT on the other end. This nipple do the job without needing two separate adapters in between?
Question by: Roy H on Sep 3, 2025, 6:21 AM
That's exactly what this fitting is built for. Both ends are male, one side is R 2-11 BSPT and the other is 2-11.5 NPTF, so you can thread it straight into a female BSPT port on one end and a female NPT port on the other without stacking adapters. It's a single-piece steel nipple, straight configuration, made by Adaptall under part number 9008-32-32.

got a female 2 inch BSPT port on one side and a female 2 inch NPT on the other. Is this the piece that ties those together?
Question by: Duane W on Mar 15, 2026, 6:58 AM
For joining those two thread standards directly, it’s a straight steel nipple with male threads on both ends: 2 inch BSPT (R 2-11) on one side and 2 inch NPTF (2-11.5) on the other, so it mates into female ports on each end.
