What thread types are on each end of this nipple, and are both sides the same size?

Both ends are 2-1/2 inch, so the sizing matches up across the fitting. One side carries a G 2-1/2 - 11 BSPP male thread and the other is a 2-1/2-8 NPTF male thread. That combination lets you bridge a BSPP-threaded port on one piece of equipment to an NPT connection on another without needing a bunch of extra adapters in between.
