Got a machine running BSPP ports on one end and NPT on the other, will this nipple actually bridge that gap straight through without needing extra adapters?

That's the job this fitting handles. One end is G 3/4 male BSPP at 3/4 inch, and the other is male NPT at 1 inch with an 11.5 thread pitch. It threads directly into both thread standards so you get a clean inline conversion without stacking additional adapters in between. The straight configuration keeps things compact, and at just under 50mm long it fits well in tight spots where you don't have a lot of room to work with.

got a port that’s G 3/4 BSPP on one side and 1 inch NPT on the other. is this the straight nipple for that?

For converting between those two thread standards, this nipple matches a G 3/4 - 14 male BSPP end on one side and a 1 - 11.5 NPTF male end on the other, in a straight steel body.
