Will this here fitting work to hook up a SAE O-ring to a BSPP?

This adapter is designed to do just that, connecting a 1-5/8 - 12 UN male SAE O-Ring Boss to a G 1-1/2 - 11 male BSPP thread.

Got a piece of equipment running BSPP fittings on one end and SAE O-Ring Boss on the other, this straight adapter supposed to handle that crossover without any reducers or extra pieces in between?

That's what it's built for. One end threads into a 1-5/8 - 12 UN SAE O-Ring Boss port, and the other end is a G 1-1/2 - 11 male BSPP. No reducers, no adapters stacked on adapters. Just the one piece bridging those two thread standards. The straight configuration means it works best where your ports are already lined up and you don't need any angular offset.
