what industries is this plug rated for, like can it handle marine or chemical environments?
Question by: Jean S on Sep 8, 2025, 2:56 PM
Carbon steel construction with Dura-Kote plating gives it solid corrosion resistance, which is why it's listed for marine, offshore drilling, chemical processing, pulp and paper, and food and beverage applications. That plating is doing real work in those environments where standard finishes would break down faster.

got a 900598-24S in my hand, is this the same thing as that -24 ORB plug adapter?
Question by: Joyce G on Jul 15, 2025, 5:24 PM
If the part number you’re matching is 900598-24S, you’re looking at the same 900598 series straight adapter in a -24 SAE O-ring boss plug configuration.

what industries is this plug rated for, and does it hold up in harsh environments?
Question by: Vince M on Jun 14, 2025, 12:45 PM
Carbon steel construction with Dura-Kote plating gives this plug solid corrosion resistance, which is why it's listed for some pretty demanding applications including offshore drilling, chemical processing, marine and military use, pulp and paper, and food and beverage processing. The plating goes above and beyond basic protection, so environments where moisture or chemical exposure is a regular concern are well within its range. Operating temperatures start as low as -40 degrees, which covers most cold-climate or refrigerated system needs without issue.
