trying to tie a jic hose end into a bspp port. is this the right adapter for that?

For connecting mixed standards, it gives you a male JIC 37 degree flare on one side and a male BSPP parallel thread on the other. Both ends are 1-1/2 inch nominal, with the JIC thread called out as 1-7/8-12 UN and the BSPP side as G 1-1/2-11.

Both sides are male on this thing, right? Just want to make sure before I go trying to thread it into two female ports on my manifold setup.

Correct, both ends are male. One side carries a male JIC 37-degree flare thread sized at 1-7/8-12 UN, and the other is a male BSPP parallel thread at G 1-1/2-11. So you'd need a female JIC port on one end and a female BSPP port on the other to make up the connection properly.
