got a hose end that’s 7/8-14 UNF JIC, will this adapter mate up to a G 3/4-14 BSPP port on the other side?

For that combo, it’s a straight male JIC to male BSPP adapter with 7/8 - 14 UNF on the JIC side and G 3/4 - 14 on the BSPP side, so it matches the thread callouts you listed.

got a piece of equipment running JIC fittings on one end but the other connection is BSPP, this adapter gonna bridge that gap?

That's exactly what this fitting handles. One end is a 7/8-14 UNF male JIC thread, which corresponds to a 5/8" JIC size, and the other end is a G 3/4-14 male BSPP thread at 3/4". So if your JIC side matches those specs, you're in good shape to make that connection work without additional adapters in between.
