Got a machine running BSPP fittings on the hydraulic block and need to tie into a JIC line, this straight adapter do that job in one piece?

That's what it's built for. One end is male JIC at 3/4-16 UNF, which covers a 1/2" JIC line, and the other end is male BSPP at G 1-11, which is your 1" BSPP port size. Steel construction, straight configuration, so you're connecting those two thread standards without any extra fittings or adapters in between.
