Will this here fitting hold up okay in a hydraulic system running about 2500 PSI?

This adapter is made from steel, so it should handle that pressure without any problems under normal hydraulic conditions.

Got a piece of equipment running BSPP ports and my hydraulic lines are all JIC, this the kind of adapter that bridges that gap inline without needing extra fittings?

That's what it's built for. One end is 1/4" Male JIC on a 7/16-20 UNF thread, the other is 1/2" Male BSPP on a G 1/2-14 thread. Steel construction, straight body, so it keeps your line routing clean without adding bends or bulk. Common situation on mixed fleets or equipment that came in from overseas with BSPP ports already built in.

trying to hook a 1/4 jic hose end to a port thats g 1/2-14, is this the right adapter?

For tying those two thread standards together inline, it matches a 1/4 inch Male JIC on one side with 7/16-20 UNF threads and a 1/2 inch Male BSPP on the other with G 1/2-14 threads.
