got a fitting on an old piece of equipment marked G 3/8 - 19 and need to tie into a metric line running M22 X 1.5, this the right part for that?

That's what this adapter is built for. One end is a 3/8" BSPP male connection with the G 3/8 - 19 thread spec, and the other is a 22mm metric male at M22 X 1.5.
