Product Questions & Answers

What exactly is the difference between the two ends on this fitting, and why would somebody need both thread types on the same nipple?
Question by: Darryl S on Jun 15, 2025, 2:39 PM
BSPP and BSPT are both British Standard pipe threads, but they work differently. BSPP (the G 3/4-14 end) has parallel threads, meaning the thread itself doesn't taper, and sealing is usually handled by a bonded seal or O-ring at the face. BSPT (the R 3/4-14 end) has tapered threads that seal by wedging into the mating fitting as you tighten them. When you've got one component with a parallel-thread port and another with a tapered-thread port, a standard nipple won't bridge that gap. This fitting does exactly that, both ends are 3/4 inch so the sizes match up, just the thread form is different on each side.

What's the wrench size I need for this nipple fitting?
Question by: Rusty J on Sep 17, 2025, 2:15 PM
With an Adaptall Ch Width of 32mm, you'll need a wrench that size to properly tighten it.
