got a hose end that’s 1-1/2 JIC male, and the port i’m going into is G 1-1/4 BSPP. is this the right adapter to marry those up?

For tying those two thread standards together, it’s a straight steel adapter with 1-1/2 inch Male JIC on one side (1-7/8 - 12 UN) and 1-1/4 inch Male BSPP on the other (G 1-1/4 - 11), so it matches the sizes you called out.

Got a piece of equipment running JIC lines that needs to tie into a BSPP manifold port. This adapter got both ends covered, or do I need something else in between?

Both thread forms are covered on this one. One end is a 1-1/2" Male JIC with a 1-7/8-12 UN thread, and the other is a 1-1/4" Male BSPP with a G 1-1/4-11 thread. No additional fittings needed to bridge those two standards. It also ships with a copper washer and O-ring already included, so you have the sealing components on hand without needing to source them separately.
