got a hydraulic line running JIC fittings on one end and need to tie into a BSPP port on a piece of imported equipment, this the right adapter to bridge that gap?

For exactly that kind of crossover situation, this fitting handles it well. One end is a 3/4-16 UNF male JIC thread, and the other is a G 1/2-14 male BSPP with a captured washer and O-ring for sealing on the BSPP side. Both connection sizes are 1/2 inch, so flow path sizing stays consistent across the joint. Steel construction holds up in typical industrial hydraulic environments without issue.

What's the wrench size needed to tighten this thing down?

This connector needs a 27mm wrench to get it snug.
