trying to hook two metric ports together, is this one M24 x 1.5 on one end and M22 x 1.5 on the other?

For connecting two female metric ports with different sizes, it gives you a male M24 x 1.5 on Side 1 and a male M22 x 1.5 on Side 2.

Got a line coming off a hydraulic block with M24 x 1.5 male threads and I need to step it down to hook up to a M22 x 1.5 male port. this fitting do that job?

Exactly what it's built for. One end is M24 x 1.5 male and the other is M22 x 1.5 male, so you can bridge those two thread sizes in a straight run without any additional adapters in between. Both are metric with a 1.5 pitch, so as long as your ports match those callouts, you're good to go.

Reckon this'll fit if my current fitting's got a M22 and a M24 metric thread?

This straight steel Adaptall fitting has a M24 X 1.5 male metric thread on one side and a M22 X 1.5 male metric thread on the other, so it should be a direct replacement.
