trying to swap an adapter on a skid steer, are the threads on this elbow 1/2 jic on one side and 1/2 bspt on the other?

On the JIC side you are getting a 1/2 inch male JIC with a 3/4 to 16 UNF thread. The other end is a 1/2 inch male BSPT with an R 1/2 to 14 thread, so it is meant to join a female JIC port to a female BSPT port.

Got a pump port that's female BSPT and a valve block with a female JIC port, would this elbow tie those two together directly?

Yeah, that's exactly what it's built for. Both ends are male, one being a 1/2" Male JIC with a 3/4-16 UNF thread and the other a 1/2" Male BSPT running R 1/2-14. As long as your pump port accepts a male BSPT and your valve block takes a male JIC, this adapter goes right between them without any additional fittings in the middle.

Yes, that's precisely what it's for. It connects a 1/2" Male JIC (3/4–16 UNF thread) to a 1/2" Male BSPT (R 1/2–14 thread).
