got a cylinder on an old press that keeps weeping around the piston seal area and I'm pretty sure it takes a -214 o-ring. this the right one?

A dash -214 is exactly what this is. The actual dimensions are 0.984 inch inner diameter and 1.262 inch outer diameter, with a width right at 0.139 inches. Those are your standard -214 sizes, so if your press was originally built to that dash number, this should drop right in. The 90 durometer Buna-N compound holds up well under hydraulic fluid, and the temperature range covers -40 up to 240 degrees F, which covers just about anything a press like that would see in normal shop conditions.
