Product Questions & Answers

got a female R 3/8 port on a piece of equipment, will this screw right in and let me run 3/8 hose off it?
Question by: Marvin G on Dec 22, 2025, 8:07 AM
For tying a BSPT port into a hose line, this adapter gives you a 3/8 inch male BSPT thread on one end and a 3/8 inch hose barb on the other. The threaded side is R 3/8 - 19 and is meant to mate with a matching female BSPT port, then the barb end is sized for 3/8 inch hose.

Got a piece of equipment with a female BSPT port on it, will this fitting thread right in without needing some kind of adapter in between?
Question by: Pete P on Apr 2, 2026, 6:50 PM
Male BSPT threads on this fitting match up with female BSPT ports, so yes, it'll go straight in. The thread profile follows the British Standard Pipe Taper spec, which is what you'll find on a lot of industrial equipment, especially older or imported machinery. Just make sure your port is actually BSPT and not BSP parallel, since those look similar but aren't the same thread form.

Will this here fitting hold up okay for hooking up an air compressor to a tank?
Question by: Duane M on Sep 5, 2025, 12:47 PM
This fitting is constructed from brass, which provides good durability and corrosion resistance in pneumatic systems. As long as the pressure and operating environment are within the capabilities of standard brass fittings, it should work fine for that application.
