I’m lookin to replace a valve on some metalworking equipment, reckon this would be a good fit?
Question by: Brett W on Sep 29, 2025, 1:40 PM
This Vickers valve is often used in primary metal applications, as well as machine tools, so it could be a suitable replacement depending on the specific requirements of your equipment. It also sees use in die casting, foundries, presses, and even marine/offshore environments if that fits your other equipment needs.

flow rate on this valve -- is 80 liters per minute enough for press and die casting work, or is that gonna be a bottleneck?
Question by: Gary W on Feb 5, 2026, 12:31 PM
For most press and die casting setups, 80 liters per minute gives you solid working capacity. The valve is rated right at that figure, and the application list includes both press use and die casting foundry use, so it's built with those demands in mind. Whether it becomes a bottleneck depends on your specific system flow requirements, but the rating lines up well with typical industrial use in those categories.
