flow rate on this unit is listed at 80 LPM -- is that enough for press and die casting work or do them applications usually need more?

For press and die casting applications, 80 litres per minute is right in the working range this valve was built for. Both of those uses are listed as supported applications, so the flow capacity lines up with what those environments typically demand. If your system is running within that ceiling, you're in good shape.
