got a line with R 1/4-19 BSPT on it, will this adapt it up to a G 1/2-14 BSPP port?

Built for that exact thread change, it connects a male R 1/4-19 BSPT (tapered) on one side to a female G 1/2-14 BSPP (parallel) on the other, so you can step from 1/4 inch BSPT to 1/2 inch BSPP in a straight adapter.

got a fitting on an older piece of equipment with a 1/4" male BSPT thread and I need to connect it up to a 1/2" female BSPP port, is this the right adapter for that?

That's what this one's built for. One end is a male R 1/4-19 BSPT tapered thread and the other is a female G 1/2-14 BSPP parallel thread, so it handles both the thread type transition and the size step-up from 1/4" to 1/2" all in one piece. Straight body, brass construction, made by Adaptall.

What size threads does this thing have? I get kinda lost with BSPT and BSPP.

This adapter features a male R 1/4-19 BSPT thread on one side and a female G 1/2-14 BSPP thread on the other. The BSPT is tapered, while the BSPP is parallel.
