seal material on this pump, is it buna-n?

Buna-N is what you get on this one. That seal material holds up well in standard hydraulic oil environments, which covers most of the applications this pump is built for, things like dump trucks, wheel loaders, and metal cutting machinery. If your system runs petroleum-based hydraulic fluid, you should be in good shape.
