does this fitting work with 6-wire spiral hose or is it only for certain hose types

Built specifically for 6-wire spiral hose assemblies, this is an Eaton Aeroquip 6S Series crimp fitting. The -24 dash size tells you the hose bore it's sized for, so as long as your spiral hose matches that sizing, you're in the right ballpark for a proper crimp connection.
