does this fitting work with 6-wire spiral hose, or is it meant for something else?

Built for 6-wire spiral hose assemblies, this is part of Eaton Aeroquip's 6S Series crimp fitting lineup. The -32 dash size tells you the hose bore it's matched to, and the 45-degree CAT flange end handles the connection on the equipment side. If you're running high-pressure spiral hose in heavy equipment applications, this is the fitting family it belongs to.
