Can this fitting handle hydraulic fluid, or is it for something else?

It's designed for hydraulic applications, as it's an Eaton Aeroquip 6-wire spiral fitting.

what's the flange code on this fitting, 61 or 62? trying to make sure I match up with the rest of my system before I order

Code 62 is what you're working with here. That's the higher-pressure flange standard, so if your ports and mating flanges are already spec'd for Code 62, this one will line up right. Just double-check your existing hardware before pulling the trigger.
