Product Questions & Answers

got a -16 hose on the truck, is this the right dash size fitting for it?
Question by: Norm H on Nov 16, 2025, 7:52 AM
On sizing, this one is a -16 hose dash size fitting, so it matches a -16 hose size callout.
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 18, 2025, 6:59 AM
does this fitting work with 6-wire spiral hose or just certain types of spiral assemblies?
Question by: Duane E on May 29, 2025, 6:29 PM
Built specifically for 6-wire spiral hose assemblies, this carbon steel fitting is part of a system-engineered approach meant to extend the working life of the full hose assembly. The TTC design and Dura-Kote plating work together to hold up under the demanding conditions that high-pressure spiral hose applications typically involve. As long as you're pairing it with the correct -16 dash size hose, it's the right fit for that class of assembly.

Will this fitting hold up to the pressures on a 6-wire spiral hose?
Question by: Bonnie W on Jan 19, 2026, 10:36 AM
Dura-Kote plating gives this fitting superior corrosion resistance, and the system's engineered design extends hose assembly life, even with the demands of 6-wire spiral hose.

Will this fitting work with any old hose, or does it need to be a specific type?
Question by: Melvin H on Jun 24, 2025, 8:57 AM
It's designed for use with 6-wire spiral hoses, ensuring a secure and reliable connection.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 25, 2025, 3:49 PM
does this fitting work with 6-wire spiral hose on a -16 dash size connection, or is it meant for something different?
Question by: Stan H on Jun 13, 2025, 1:13 PM
That's what it's built for. The 6S16FHB16 is part of Eaton Aeroquip's 6S crimp fitting series and it's sized for -16 hose with a 6-wire spiral construction. The flange end is SAE Code 62, and it comes out at a 90-degree elbow, so if you're working a tight routing situation where a straight fitting won't clear, this one gives you that angle without having to add extra adapters in the line.

got a 6S16FHB16 in my hand, what kind of end is it and what’s it meant to hook up to
Question by: Judy F on Apr 19, 2025, 12:08 PM
On the equipment side it uses an SAE Code 62 flange, and it’s a 90 degree elbow style. The other end is the line or hose or tube connection side, and it’s part of Eaton Aeroquip’s 6S Series crimp hose fitting family for 6-wire spiral hose assemblies.
