Brass construction and the fitting's intended use cover both hydraulic and instrumentation pneumatic systems, so you're not limited to one or the other. The 1/4 inch NPTF male end threads into a standard port, and the female end accepts your line or hose on the other side. Just confirm your line size matches the 1/4 inch connections on both ends before ordering.
