what's this fitting made out of and will it hold up in a hydraulic setup runnin regular shop pressure?

Brass construction all the way through on this one. It's rated for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and Eaton built it with Dura-Kote plating to give it better corrosion resistance than a lot of standard brass fittings you'd find. For typical shop hydraulic pressure, that combination handles it well. The design is also built to exceed SAE pressure standards, so you're not working with a bare-minimum part here.
