thread on the male end of this fitting, is that a standard o-ring boss, or something proprietary?

Straight o-ring boss, no proprietary threads involved. The male end runs a 1-1/16-12 thread built to SAE J514, which is about as standard as it gets for MORB fittings. The NBR o-ring seated at that connection handles the seal, so you're not relying on thread engagement alone to keep things tight.

got a hose end with a 3/4-14 female swivel on it. will this fitting screw right into that and still seal up?

On the swivel side, it is a 3/4-14 female NPSM swivel thread per SAE J476, so it will mate with a matching 3/4-14 male NPSM thread. Sealing on that end is handled by the swivel connection, while the other end seals with the NBR o-ring on the male O-ring boss side.
