thread sizes on this one got me a little turned around, male end is 3/4-16 and the female swivel is 3/8-18, that right?

that's correct. The male O-ring boss end runs 3/4-16 thread per SAE J514, and the female NPSM swivel on the other end is 3/8-18 per SAE J476. So you're stepping down between the two ports, which is a pretty common setup when you're transitioning between different line sizes in a hydraulic circuit.

On the male side it is a 3/4-16 male O-ring boss thread built to SAE J514, and it seals with an NBR O-ring. The other end is a 3/8-18 female NPSM swivel thread built to SAE J476.
