what's this made out of and will it hold up running hydraulic lines outside?

Brass construction with Dura-Kote plating, so corrosion resistance is solid for outdoor hydraulic setups. The plating is specifically there to handle tough environments better than standard uncoated fittings. Rated for a minimum working temperature of negative 65 degrees, so cold weather exposure is not a concern.
