both ends on this elbow are male? just want to make sure before I order, got a female ORB port on my manifold and need to know what I'm mating to

One end is a Male JIC SAE 37-degree flare, and the other is a Male SAE Adjustable O-ring Boss. Both ends are male, so you'd be threading this into female-receiving ports on each side. The O-ring Boss end uses an NBR O-ring for sealing, which handles the adjustable positioning you get with an ORB connection. Make sure your manifold port and your hose or tube end are female counterparts to match up correctly.

Will this fitting work with standard JIC fittings, or do I need something special?

This elbow uses a male JIC SAE 37-degree flare on one end and a male SAE adjustable O-ring boss on the other, both to SAE J514 specs. It ought to play nice with other standard fittings made to those same standards.

On the B1 side it is a 9/16-18 male JIC SAE 37 degree flare, SAE J514. On the B2 side it is a 9/16-18 male SAE adjustable O-ring boss, also called MAORB, SAE J514, and it uses an NBR O-ring for the seal.
