got a cylinder port that's #24 MORB and I need to tie in a #16 JIC hose end at a right angle, this the right part for that?

That's what this adapter is built for. One end is a #16 Male JIC with a 37-degree flare, and the other is a #24 Male O-Ring Boss. The 90-degree angle lets you swing the hose away from whatever's in the way instead of forcing a straight shot into the port. The MORB end seals against the port seat using an O-ring, so you get a solid leak-resistant connection on that side. Works well on valves, manifolds, and cylinders in both industrial and mobile equipment setups.
