Does this adapter go from NPTF on one end to a JIC swivel fitting on the other, or did I read the thread specs wrong?

You read it right. One end is a 3/4-14 male NPTF thread, which conforms to SAE J476, and the other end is a 1-1/16-12 female JIC swivel with a 37-degree flare, conforming to SAE J514. That combination lets you connect an NPTF-ported component directly to a JIC swivel line without any adapters in between.

What size are the threads on this fitting? Just want to make sure it'll match up with what I've got.

It’s got a 3/4-14 male NPTF thread and a 1-1/16-12 female JIC swivel with a 37-degree flare. Those threads meet SAE J476 and SAE J514 specs, respectively.

got a hose end with a 1-1/16-12 jic swivel on it. will this adapter screw into a 3/4-14 nptf port and still match up right?

The threads line up as a 3/4-14 male NPTF on one side (SAE J476) and a 1-1/16-12 female JIC swivel with a 37 degree flare on the other (SAE J514), so it is made to connect that exact NPTF port to that JIC flare connection.
