got a port on my hydraulic manifold threaded 3/4-14 NPTF and need to run a JIC line off it, this the right adapter for that?

That's exactly the application this part covers. The male end is 3/4-14 NPTF, which threads straight into a standard NPTF port, and the female end is a 3/4-16 JIC swivel with a 37-degree flare seat. The swivel feature lets you rotate the JIC connection to align your line without putting any twist stress on the hose or tubing. Both thread configurations meet published SAE standards, J476 on the NPTF side and J514 on the JIC side, so you're working within spec on both ends.
