trying to hook a male jic line into a female jic port, is this the right kind of adapter?

For joining JIC 37 degree flare connections, this adapter gives you a male JIC SAE 37 degree flare on one end and a female JIC swivel 37 degree flare on the other, both built to SAE J514. It is meant for the common flare style connection where you want a swivel on the female side.
