got a 1/4 NPTF male port on a manifold block and need to swing over to a JIC hose end, this the right fitting to make that happen?

That's what this elbow is built for. One end is a 1/4-18 Male NPTF thread, which seats into a female NPTF port on your manifold or valve body. The other end is a 1/2-20 Female JIC swivel with a 37-degree flare seat, so your JIC hose end threads right in. The swivel lets you position the hose without fighting the fitting, which saves a lot of grief during install.

This elbow is designed for use with 0.31 inch outside diameter tubing.
