Got a tight spot in a hydraulic line where I need to change direction, will a #6 male JIC on one end and a #8 female JIC swivel on the other end work for that kind of setup?

Yeah, that's exactly what this fitting is built for. The male end is a 9/16-18 thread with a 37-degree flare, and the female swivel side runs 3/4-16, also 37-degree flare, both meeting SAE J514 spec. The 90-degree angle handles the direction change, and the swivel on the female end gives you some rotational flexibility during installation so you're not fighting the line to get it seated right.

Will this fitting hold up if I'm running hydraulic fluid through it pretty much all day long?
