got a 1-5/16-12 ORB port on one side and need to step down to 3/4-16 ORB, is this the right straight reducer?

It steps a male SAE O-ring Boss (ORB) 1-5/16-12 thread down to a female SAE ORB 3/4-16 thread, and both ends follow SAE J514 thread specs.

So, this reducer has different size threads on each end, right? One's bigger than the other?

That's correct. The male SAE O-ring Boss (ORB) thread is 1-5/16-12, and the female SAE O-ring Boss (ORB) thread is 3/4-16.

what's the thread size on the male end of this reducer? trying to match it up to a 1-5/16-12 port and wanna make sure before i order

The male SAE O-ring Boss end measures 1-5/16-12, so that lines up with what you're working with. The female end on the other side steps down to 3/4-16 ORB. Both threads conform to SAE J514, and the seal is handled by an NBR O-ring on each end to keep things from weeping at the connection.
