Correct on both counts. Both ends are male O-ring Boss, same 6-series thread on each side. So what you end up with is a male-to-male inline adapter that lets you bridge two female ORB ports directly. No mixing of thread types, no reducers needed as long as your ports are both 6-series ORB.
