Product Questions & Answers

thread sizes on this one got me second-guessing myself, is the JIC end bigger than the ORB end?
Question by: Ricky O on Oct 12, 2025, 8:10 AM
Yeah, the JIC end is the larger of the two. You're looking at a 1-5/16-12 thread on the male JIC 37-degree flare side and a 7/8-14 thread on the male SAE O-ring boss side. Both ends are built to SAE J514 spec, so if your fittings and ports are sized accordingly, you won't have any surprises when you go to make up the connection.

Will this fitting hold up if I'm pushing it to that 4000 PSI? Don't want no leaks.
Question by: Earl W on Aug 17, 2025, 5:35 PM
This straight steel fitting is designed to handle dynamic pressures up to 4,000 PSI, and it uses an NBR O-ring seal to minimize leaks in hydraulic applications.

got a hose with a 1-5/16-12 JIC male end, is this the right straight adapter to go over to an ORB?
Question by: Roger S on Sep 25, 2025, 8:30 PM
On the JIC side, it uses a male 37 degree flare with a 1-5/16-12 thread (SAE J514). The other end is a male SAE O-ring boss with a 7/8-14 thread, sealed with an NBR O-ring. If those are the two connection types and thread sizes you are matching, this is the straight fitting for that changeover.
