What thread types are on each end of this adapter, and will it work for converting between JIC and ORB fittings?

One end is a 9/16-18 male JIC SAE 37-degree flare, and the other is a 1/2-20 male SAE O-ring boss. So yes, that's exactly what this fitting does, connects a JIC line to an ORB port. Both threads are built to SAE J514 spec, and the NBR O-ring on the ORB end handles the sealing, so you're not relying on thread contact alone to keep things tight.

got a hose end with a 9/16-18 JIC flare and the port on the block is 1/2-20 ORB. is this the straight adapter that ties those together?
