clamp range says 1 to 3 inch, does that mean I can use it on a 2 inch hose or do I need a different size for that?

Anywhere in that 1" to 3" inside diameter range is fair game, so a 2" hose fits right in the middle of what this clamp is built for. The gear-driven screw lets you dial in the tightening across the full range, so you're not stuck needing a separate clamp for every hose size you've got on hand.
