Reckon this'd be a good fit for a swing motor on a small excavator, something needing controlled movement?

This Danfoss/Eaton motor is indeed well-suited for swing motor applications, particularly where precise, controlled movement is needed. The low-speed geroler configuration is what gives it that strong torque output at lower RPMs.
