Product Questions & Answers

seal life on these any good? running a ball valve pretty hard in a hydraulic press application and the last ones we had wore out faster than they shoulda
Question by: Lance S on Aug 30, 2025, 12:20 PM
Fifty thousand cycles is the rated seal life on this valve, which holds up well under repeated actuation in demanding setups. The seats are Delrin and the O-rings are Viton, both solid choices for durability under pressure cycling. If your previous valves were failing early, it may be worth checking whether the operating pressure stayed within range for your port size. At 3/8 NPT, this one is rated to 7250 PSI, so as long as you're within that, the seal package should give you a long service run.

Question by: Brenda H on Oct 29, 2025, 6:57 PM
The BBV-2 is set up with 3/8 NPT ports, so it matches equipment that uses 3/8 NPT connections.

ports on this one are 3/8 NPT, right? just want to make sure before I order
Question by: Jimmy F on May 17, 2025, 1:57 PM
Correct, the BBV-2 runs 3/8 NPT ports on both connections. If your existing lines are already threaded to that spec, you should be good to go without any adapter fittings.
