got a metric port on my hydraulic block and need to swing the line out at a 90, does this fitting have a male metric end that'll thread right into it?

The metric side on this adapter is a 16mm male end with an M16 X 1.5 thread pitch. If your block has a female M16 X 1.5 port, this will thread straight in. The 90 degree elbow lets you redirect the line rather than running it straight out, which comes in handy when clearance is tight around the block.

Will this fitting hold up okay outside? I need to use it on some equipment that's gonna be exposed to the weather.

This Adaptall elbow is made of steel, so it should be suitable for outdoor use, but keep in mind that steel can be susceptible to rust over time, especially in wet environments.
