trying to swap out an elbow on my hydraulic line, is this one the kind that goes from a 1 inch male ORFS to a 1 inch male BSPP?

You are looking at a 90 degree adjustable elbow with a 1 inch Male ORFS on one end and a 1 inch Male BSPP on the other. The ORFS side is 1-7/16 - 12 UN thread, and the BSPP side is G 1 - 11.

Got a hydraulic line running ORFS on one end and BSPP on the other, does this fitting actually bridge both them thread types in a single elbow?

That's what it does. One side is Male ORFS with a 1-7/16 - 12 UN thread, and the other is Male BSPP running a G 1 - 11 thread. Both sides are 1 inch in size, so you're getting a direct cross-standard connection without needing extra adapters in between. The 90 degree angle also helps when you're working in a spot where a straight fitting just won't clear.
