Product Questions & Answers

trying to swap out a straight fitting, will this elbow match up to a 1/2" male ORFS on one end and 3/8" male BSPP on the other?
Question by: Denise F on Jul 17, 2025, 6:46 PM
The ORFS side is a 1/2 inch male with a 13/16-16 UN thread, and the other end is a 3/8 inch male BSPP with a G 3/8-19 thread. If those are the two ports you are connecting, this 45 degree adjustable elbow is the right thread and size combination.

Is this elbow suitable for connecting hydraulic lines in tight spaces, given its dimensions?
Question by: Melvin M on Dec 26, 2025, 7:27 PM
With a Ch1 width of 18mm, a Ch2 width of 23.5mm, an L1 length of 20mm, and an L2 length of 31mm, this fitting should indeed be compact enough for use in tight assemblies.

fitting's got two different thread standards on it, the ORFS side and that BSPP end. what size are we talking on each one?
Question by: Hank S on Jul 16, 2025, 6:40 AM
The ORFS side runs a 1/2" port with a 13/16-16 UN thread, and the BSPP end is 3/8" on a G 3/8-19 thread. That combo makes it useful when you're tying hydraulic lines into equipment built to British or metric standards, where a straight ORFS-to-ORFS connection just won't get you there. The O-ring face seal side gives you a solid, leak-resistant joint, while the BSPP end handles compatibility with the metric and British-standard side of the assembly.
