what does this indicator actually do in a hydraulic system, like what am i looking for when it trips
Question by: Cindy H on Jul 2, 2025, 4:57 PM
When the filter element inside your hydraulic system gets loaded up with contaminants, flow restriction builds up across it. This indicator monitors that condition and gives you a signal when the element has reached the point where it needs to be swapped out. Basically it takes the guesswork out of filter service intervals so you're not pulling elements too early or running them past the point where they're doing more harm than good.

Will this indicator work on different types of hydraulic fluids, or is it specific to a certain kind?

Designed to monitor the condition of filter elements, this indicator helps ensure your hydraulic system performs optimally, no matter the fluid type. Timely filter replacement, as prompted by this indicator, prevents downtime.
