this the same plate valve that comes stock on a Char-Lynn motor, or is it a replacement part you'd order separate?

Replacement part, ordered separately. The SKU 5986547-001 is an Eaton Char-Lynn plate valve meant to swap out the original when it wears or fails. If your motor already has a plate valve in place, this is the part you'd be sourcing to put it back to factory condition.
